Decorative Layer: Easy-strip wallcoverings, which consist of a decorative layer you can detach from the backing layer, must be removed entirely if you intend to paint the wall. The backing layer of these papers (including vinyls) is not suitable as a base for painting, although it may be fine to use as a lining paper for a new wallcovering.
Sometimes it is possible to paint over decorative wallcoverings, but it makes sense to experiment first by trying it on a small area and allowing the paint to dry thoroughly. The covering may be affected by the water content of the paint. If so, you will have to strip it all off.The upper mantle [1] consists of a thin rigid top layer extending from below the Moho to a depth of about 60-100km (40-60 miles), a pasty layer or asthenosphere down to about 200km (120 miles) and a thick bottom layer between 200 and 700km (120-430 miles). The uppermost layer together with the overlying crust forms the rigid lithosphere which is divided laterally into plates. These plates drift on the asthenosphere where pressure and temperature almost reach melting-point, leading to near-fluidity.
Must have freedom; if kept as pet, needs home garden and pool. May be kept for short while at school for observation; use large terrarium with woodland habitat (see Part II); give freedom of room daily. Use woodland habitat in handmade vivarium box (see Part II). Cover bottom with layer of charcoal; top with layer of sand; finish with thick layer of loose, loamy soil. |
