Fire Fighter Home Decor: Ground-Controlled Intercept (GCI).— A GCI radar station (see Fig. 16) directs the operations of fighter and interceptor planes against enemy bombers. Its controller vectors the fighter or interceptor until it is near enough to the enemy bomber for the pilot to spot the bomber visually or to detect it with his own radar. Similar radar, called fighter director radar, is used by the Navy aboard aircraft carriers to control the operations of their planes. The Eleventh Annual Fine Furnishings Providence Show is slated for October 27 - 29, 2006 at the Rhode Island Convention Center. Both fine furnishings shows provide a venue for artisans to meet with designers, decorators, members of the Home Decor media, collectors, and the general public to make direct sales, initiate commissions, and generate publicity about their work. Many dedicated exhibitors have developed long-term relationships with clients they originally met at fine furnishings. The shows are open to artists and designers residing and working in North America who are the principal behind the design and craftsmanship of the work. All work must be originally designed, handcrafted and appropriate for home decor.
Infrared light does not penetrate water vapor well, so infrared homing missiles have an inherent problem of weather and are essentially clear-air weapons. It is necessary to use radar or other means to solve all-weather air-to-air guidance and fire fighter home decor-control problems. All nations with modern fighter aircraft use as their basic armament some type of air-to-air missile. Undersea to Surface. |
