Healthy Plants:
Light.—Sunlight is power; it supplies the energy for carrying on food-making processes in the leaves of plants. Ordinary electric light is helpful on dull days, and it is possible to grow healthy plants entirely by fluorescent lighting. The needs of plants vary from full sunlight in a southern exposure, through half shade, to the steady, cool light of a northern window.Different plants require a different water depth but you can easily adjust this by placing the pots on bricks or stones.
