Home Decor Wallpaper:
The Eleventh Annual Fine Furnishings Providence Show is slated for October 27 - 29, 2006 at the Rhode Island Convention Center.
Both fine furnishings shows provide a venue for artisans to meet with designers, decorators, members of the Home Decor wallpaper decor media, collectors, and the general public to make direct sales, initiate commissions, and generate publicity about their work.
Many dedicated exhibitors have developed long-term relationships with clients they originally met at fine furnishings.
The shows are open to artists and designers residing and working in North America who are the principal behind the design and craftsmanship of the work.
All work must be originally designed, handcrafted and appropriate for Home Decor wallpaper decor.Wallpaper patterns may conflict with other Wall decorations such as pictures, Wall sconces, and hanging objects. If one desires to use the latter with wallpaper, it is necessary to use a wallpaper of delicate colors and rather small-scale pattern; or, if this is not possible, to use only pictures that are large enough not to be lost in the pattern of the paper. Rooms in which wallpapers are used usually require very few other patterned surfaces. In order to attain optical relief and contrast if a wallpaper has a prominent pattern, drapery materials should preferably be in plain colors or inconspicuous patterns and the draperies themselves designed with simple edging, fringe, or ruffling of a different hue. The same idea may be carried out in the upholstery materials, although it is less important to maintain simplicity of surface in the upholstery than in the window draperies.
No expensive or specialized tools are required for hanging Wall and ceiling coverings. A pasting Table makes it easier to apply paste to long lengths of wallpaper or other material, and make sure that the scissors or Knife you use to cut the wallpaper to length is sharp.
