Made On Location:

Made On Location Do you need a studio to be involved with photographic illustration or can the world be your studio? As you look at all the photographs in the ads and on the packages, you will note that there is a mixture, some made in the studio in sets or on simple backgrounds, while others were made on location. The location photographs may have been made in local areas, close to the studio, or they could have been made anywhere in the world, depending on the budgets available and the sites called for in the layouts you are working on. A studio certainly makes photography a lot easier, but a lot of work can be done without one. How large does an illustration studio need to be? Some of the larger studios may be 25,000 to 100,000 square feet and employ 25 to 100 people, with as many as 10 to 20 photographers on staff, while small studios may only be 1500 to 6,000 square feet and only have one photographer, one or two assistants, and possibly a salesperson.

CHOOSING THE location for a sculpture is extremely important if the work is to look effective. The best approach is to decide where you want an object and then set about finding a piece that will suit the location. However, more often something irresistible is acquired which must be accommodated in an appropriate setting. Some pieces will dictate a likely location: a Bacchus will look most effective reeling out of the bushes, while a formal statue is ideally placed in a niche or in a more commanding position such as on a pedestal or balustrade.

Besides room category, bedding type, and rate class, the room rate is also affected by the type of meal plan. Meal plans traditionally fall into five categories: EP European Plan FAP Full American Plan MAP Modified American Plan CP Continental Plan BB Bed and Breakfast Plan The rate categories for deluxe (maximum), superior (moderate), and standard (minimum) rooms take into consideration the desirability of the location within the property. For instance, a deluxe (A) room typically represents the hotel's most desirable location — for example, an oceanview or beachfront room at a tropical resort. In contrast, a standard (C) room is usually situated in a less-desirable location — for example, overlooking the parking lot. The following categories are used commonly to designate a specific room location or client preference:
