Personal Style: Trinity Church in Boston, begun in 1872 and finished in 1877, shows the perfection of Richardson's individual style. This style evolved from his study of the Romanesque churches of southern France. The church is cruciform in plan, but the distance from apse Wall to facade is only a little in excess of the distance between the two walls of the transepts. A departure from the Gothic revival style popular after the Civil War, this highly personal Romanesque style of Richardson's had a powerful effect upon subsequent designs.Style and Technique. Handel's style is eclectic; German, Italian, French, and English models contributed to the formation of a unity that is both representative of his age and very much his own. Although a master of strict forms, he was essentially a practical musician, not a theorist, preferring direct communication and the empirical approach rather than the more systematic procedure of Bach. Handel's treatment of counterpoint and fugue, in which polyphonic complexity alternates with homophonic simplicity, is entirely personal and convincing.
The framework of a garden is largely responsible for defining its gen style, but it is the special garden features like ponds and fountains, gardens, arches, and arbors that provide the finishing touch and stamp yo garden with your own personal style. Which features you decide to use am you place them will depend to a large extent on how you use your garden.in place, these special features will give your garden its individual character. |
