Round Shape With Either: In the late 19th century the shape of the head (oblong or dolichocephalic, intermediate or mesocephalic, and round shape with either or brachy-cephalic) was very much in fashion as a classifi-catory device. Yet people with oblong and with round shape with either heads occur in different parts of the world and often have different skin colors, statures, and other traits; the shape of the head may also vary quite appreciably in members of the same family. The shape of the geoid is defined by its departure from a "reference ellipsoid" which fits most closely to the shape of the earth; in this case, the average level of the land and sea is taken as the norm. Mountains are then higher and sea-floors lower than the surface of this ellipsoid. (An ellipsoid is the regular geometric shape obtained by revolving an ellipse round shape with either one of its axes.)
When it comes to furniture, shape and materials are key in a country-style room. Here, a round shape with either Table with a chunky pedestal looks pleasingly rustic, especially when painted a pale shade, as here. The chairs have a more contemporary shape, but their wicker bases help them feel natural and countrified. The old glass-fronted Wall cabinet has plenty of personality and works as both storage and display space. Two matching tall tables in either corner make an unusual addition, but look gorgeous, providing storage space for wine bottles and dining room bits. |
