The Plants Are Shipped:
In my plan I've added a large rock in the upper left corner and a hollowed-out piece of fieldstone at lower right for a tiny reflecting pool. Using a cold chisel on a cool day and just chipping away at a 14 by 18 by 5 inch stone, I was able to pare away enough to hold an inch of water.
Usually the plants are shipped either in small pots or carefully wrapped in aluminum foil. Take care in unpacking so the roots are disturbed as little as possible. Water well and using small pots or folded cardboard, shade the plants from the hot sun for a few days.
The following plants are all available from the various nurseries listed in the Appendixes. Nothing is really unusual except for the Meconopsis, which I included just for the adventure of it all. In each measurement, the first is the height and the second, the spread of the plant. All have proved to be hardy in our Zone 5.HAY FEVER is an allergic reaction to the pollen of certain plants, especially grasses, trees, and weeds. Hay fever affects 5% to 10% of the population of the United States and occurs somewhat less commonly in other regions of the world. Although hay fever may occur at almost any the 1960's about 10,000 tons of coffee in addition to timber, beans, and maize were shipped annually from the Haya's principal town, Bukoba, on Lake Victoria.
Shipping.—Deepwater shipping facilities in the Hampton Roads area are almost unrivaled along the Atlantic Coast. In 1965, some 34,-000,000 tons were shipped from the Roads, one third of it coal from Newport News, the world's largest coal-shipping ocean port. Norfolk is the base of the United States Navy Atlantic Fleet and of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization fleet. Considerable tonnage is shipped up the James and Potomac to terminals at Richmond and Alexandria.
