Vintage Home Decor: The Eleventh Annual Fine Furnishings Providence Show is slated for October 27 - 29, 2006 at the Rhode Island Convention Center.
Both fine furnishings shows provide a venue for artisans to meet with designers, decorators, members of the Home Decor media, collectors, and the general public to make direct sales, initiate commissions, and generate publicity about their work.
Many dedicated exhibitors have developed long-term relationships with clients they originally met at fine furnishings.
The shows are open to artists and designers residing and working in North America who are the principal behind the design and craftsmanship of the work.
All work must be originally designed, handcrafted and appropriate for home decor. In August, the vintage Home Decor is approaching. Black grapes turn colour. General upkeep, and the cleaning and preparation of the vats and casks to be used, keeps everyone busy. September is the vintage Home Decor month. In about the third week the grapes are ripe and picking begins. The cuvier where the wine will be made is scoured out and the fermenting vats filled with water to swell the wood.
Contrasting a single pattern with a limited number of solid colors requires thought and planning. The size, style, and colors of the pattern all need to be selected carefully so they harmonize with the rest of the decor. When it comes to combining two or more patterns that match or contrast with one another, the challenge is that much greater. However, by following a few guidelines, you will quickly see how to use a variety of patterns to create a strikingly successful decorative scheme. |
