Woven Materials Team: Space may be short, but that doesn't stop this room from being packed with comfy furniture and pretty pieces that give it oceans of charm and character. Natural, woven materials team with plain white armchairs, while pretty curtains and colourful paintwork add an airy, feminine feel.International gymnastic teams are composed of six individuals, all of whom must compete in the six events for men or four events for women. In determining the team score the score for the poorest competitor is dropped, and the five best scores are added to give the team score in each event. Thus the maximum event score for a team is 50 points, and the maximum team score is 300 for men and 200 for women. Though the lowest competitor's score is dropped in determining the event score for the team, it is included in obtaining the all-round or total score for that individual.
Synthetic fibers and yarns. Textiles woven from synthetic yarns were first produced by Chardonnet, a pupil of Pasteur in Paris in 1889. The fabrics were at first called artificial silk, but in 1924 the designation rayon was adopted by common agreement. It was not until 1930 that large-scale commercial production commenced, and since that year many varieties and improvements have been introduced and the use of such Textiles in both the clothing and decorative art fields has increased to vast proportions. For many purposes, these materials have proved to be superior to those woven with natural fibers. |
